The seedling are grown from the nuts of Jefferson European Hazelnut (Corylus avellana). Jeffersons have complete resistance to filbert blight, and they produce reliable crops of large nuts. They also have a long bloom time in the spring, which makes them a good pollinator for other hazelnut varieties.
These 1 to 3 foot tall bare root Jefferson Hazelnut seedlings are grown in air-pruner beds.
